Los Angeles, CA – Rapper Teflon has got an album on its way to the listening public’s ear. Kicking things off is the release of the single “Feel Good.” The new album – “Gorilla Tacticz” – gives a big bright view of Teflon’s hip-hop world. Big, in-your-face energy, banging beats, potent and aggressive lyrical flow, cutting lyrics – these are the weapons of war for Teflon.
“Feel Good” is a charged-up rap anthem that lives up to its name, shooting an electric bolt into listeners with the highly revved vocal performance and the grooves and music to match it. It’s a pulsing, not-to-be-ignored blast of hip-hop energy that lays waste to the competition.
25-year-old Teflon – a Belizean-American born and raised in South Central Los Angeles – kicked off his rapping career in 1995. His debut recording was his vocal performance over the instrumentals for “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Teflon cut his teeth by using whatever technology he could get his hands on. “I started recording on little hand-held recorders to karaoke machines and eventually I found my way into little home studios,” he said. “I grew up really poor and the first of five kids.”
“Gorilla Tacticz” is expected to be released by May 2008. “This record (feel Good) really stands out,” Teflon said. “Its a fun record that will be featured on the album.” Typically, he says, he raps about headier, darker material, but “Feel Good,” he says, “is for the ladies. I wanted to show that other side of me.”
